The Made by Hand Show this comming weekend

We are just few days away from  the Show. I am almost ready with my new Spring/Summer Collection of felted scarves and necklaces/accessories. I will post few of my last creations, if you would like to see more, come to the Made by hand show. I will be very happy to see all of you there.

All of the scarves are made from 50/50 merino 15 micron, and mulberry silk fibres. Very soft, delicate and airy. The fibres are from Australia, hand dyed from Jacinta. The scarves and the accessories are handmade by me. All of them are One-of-a-kind. Visit my Booth # 139 at madebyhandshow.com

Coffee Beans

This is my last creation for this week. I named it Coffee Beans because of the colour. The scarf is nuno- felted with 50/50 Australian merino wool 15 microns and mulberry silk. So soft and silky, you can wear it even in the Summer. Also is decorated with small felted balls and wool/bamboo yarn. Fabulous!

 Jacinta, a textile artist, who dyes wool and silk fibres in beautiful colours, named the silk/merino roving Grace. She gave me the inspiration to create this romantic, soft and very light nuno felted scarf.





Accessories and Upcoming Workshop

I am so excited! On May 5th I am going to attend a workshop. Andrea Graham, a Canadian Feltmaker - Fibre Artist will teach us how to make a Vassels. I would love to go to more of her workshops. She is great artist and her art work is incredible.

Cobweb felted scarf from 50/50 Australian merino wool and silk. I love the colours. Thanks to Jacinta and her great work!She sent me the soft and colourful fibre. Thanks to Marina from Felted Pleasure whos work inspired me! I hope you all will love it. It will be one of my scarves at the show.

Made by Hand Show, April 21, 2012

I am going to Made by Hand Show in April, so I have to work on my spring/summer desighns. Today I made a piece that suppose to be a scarf, but also can be a table runner. I am not sure....what do you think? The first three pictures shows the felting process and then comes the result.

Also I made two beautiful accessories that can be worn as a necklace or as a belt. Maybe you have different idea. These two peaces are one-of-a-kind and very unique.
